How We Rank & Review
Our team independently signs up for, migrates real WordPress sites to, and benchmarks every hosting provider we recommend. We measure uptime, TTFB, load testing performance, support response times, and migration ease across standardized test sites.
Our Evaluation Criteria
Every hosting provider we review is evaluated on the same standardized criteria to ensure fair, apples-to-apples comparisons:
- Performance (30%) — TTFB, page load times, uptime, and behavior under traffic spikes. Measured with real WordPress sites over 4+ weeks using third-party monitoring.
- Features & Tools (20%) — Staging environments, Git deployment, SSH access, CDN, backups, security features, and WooCommerce/multisite support.
- Pricing & Value (20%) — Transparent pricing, renewal rates, what's included vs. add-on costs, and value relative to performance delivered.
- Support Quality (15%) — Response time, technical depth, available channels (live chat, phone, tickets), and resolution quality for real hosting issues.
- Ease of Use (15%) — Migration experience, dashboard design, onboarding, and how quickly a new user can get a site running.
Our Testing Process
We don't just read spec sheets. We migrate real WordPress sites to every host, run load tests simulating hundreds of concurrent users, contact support with genuine technical questions, and monitor uptime for weeks. Reviews are updated when hosts make significant infrastructure or pricing changes.
Independence Statement
Affiliate partnerships do not influence our rankings. We recommend hosts we genuinely believe are the best options for specific use cases. If a host doesn't meet our standards, we say so — even if it has a lucrative affiliate program.
